Jump Rope For Heart-Spotlight

During the month of  February, NHES students will be participating in our annual Jump Rope For Heart (JR4     ) event—which is an American Heart Association fundraiser. If every student received donations of only $3.50, we would reach our 2010 donation goal of $2,000—easily!

Here’s 4 good reasons to support JR4    and The American Heart Association:

 · This event helps lifesaving research into heart disease and stroke.

· Donations support development of educational materials that teach the importance of heart health, fitness, and good nutrition

· NHES! We receive a gift certificate from the American Heart Association towards the purchase of  PE equipment.

· Encourages our students to participate in physical activity while showing them they can make a difference in their own community. That’s Good Citizenship!

Important Dates:

February 9—JR4       concert and demo @ 6:30 in NHES cafeteria.

February 15 thru 19—Students will participate in JR4      during their regular PE class and are encouraged to wear RED on the day of their scheduled PE class.

March 1—Sponsor forms with donations are due.

Collecting donations is optional. All contribution are greatly appreciated! Please have checks made payable to American Heart Association. You may also raise money online by creating a website for your child at www.americanheart.org/jump

Waveriders with the Top 5 donations will be

treated to a special catered lunch!

Sponsor forms with donations must be turned in by March 1!
