SCHOOL HEALTH NEWS!!!
Welcome back!
Now that summer is over, and it's time to get back to school, I'd like to remind you and your folks about some important health tips:
- Wash, wash, wash your hands ~ especially after sneezing/coughing, using the restroom, and before meals.
- Take care of your hair and scalp ~ if your head is "itchy", have a parent/guardian check to make sure that it is healthy. Head lice is not fun, but treating it early is the best way to keep that lice away!
- Get plenty of rest and eat nutritious foods. Try to limit those sugary snacks - eat vegetables or fruit instead!
- Drink lots of fluids like water, milk, or juice. Avoid sodas ~ they're full of sugar and can cause tooth decay!
- Make sure to go out and PLAY for one hour a day! Don't sit in front of the TV - get outside and ride your bike, walk on the beach, go for a swim, or play with your friends!
All of these tips will help you start off your new school year at NHES in the best possible way!
